Straight pipe is much easyer, all the straps are straight, and everything is touched evenly, on this crap everything is differant diamiter, length, differant bends etc. this is also 13' 4" rather then 4'

yes thats what i did, you have to do that on strait pipe as well.

we dont do pyramid stacked pipe here, if we haul it, it will be stacked in layers or it will not go on our trucks. Pyramid is allot more dangerous. I dont like pipe no matter how you stack it lol

Ive hauled stacked pipe like that, but it was plastic. The metal pipe was pyramid stacked: 65 peices, 42 foot long, 47,000 pounds. I didnt mind it. The belly chains helped a lot. Kept the whole load tight together.

Layered pipe is gravy, I always loved hauling it.
