I had looked into the IC. I asked the question Won't the CSR's get ticked off at you if you turn down a load. I was told, that yea probably, but if they ever found out they were treating you differently because of it, they would be in trouble.

I was under the impression that they really couldn't care less if IC's went home or not.

most likely, there's no telling how much ######## they've had to deal with before they get to you

Got my first raise, traded in an unreliable truck that's been in and out of repair for three months, and starting out Monday with a 1200 mile delivery. Here's to hoping things just get better and better!

Update on HOS recap at Mid-Night.
I needed one more hour to get to Wichita Falls and was running on recap hours. You guys are right. I planned it out so that I would have 2 minutes at midnight. And just as the clock turns twelve more hours were added to my drive time, most excellent. -
Don't forget also that your EOBR auto-calcuates splits, too. It's nice on the weekend to get you home sooner and start the 34 hour clock as soon as possible. If you've never used a split before there's good information around here on it. In short, those positive hours you have even though you haven't waited 10 hours yet are valid hours because splits are calculated on the fly. I rarely use it anytime other than getting home and don't recommend it to anyone without an understanding of what's going on, but it is a tool that you have at your disposal.
