Yeah it seems to me that various of these culprits making 350 here like their hometime quite a bit
-
Seriously though, 350 a week and I'm guessing that's a full 7 days. 50 dollars a day. Even at some of the silly starting rates that can't be more than 200 miles a day. Why would any company tie up a truck for that? The drivers making no money but more importantly from a business side the company can't be either.

Yeah, I smell a rat here!

I have to agree with the concensus here, stay where you if you can afford it. And after 6 months experience if you still need to leave, you won't need to go to Werner, because you then will have the experience you need to work for the better companies.
Werner is professional at attracting new drivers. They specialize in it. They are gigantic and have no reason to care about you. Some have good experiences with Werner, or got on to a good dedicated account. But there are a worth of bad experiences as well. The thing is, there are also companies out there that have 90% or better, well satisfied drivers. That's what you should be aiming for.
Speaking from experience: keep your record solid. In a year, two years, three years, your record (employment, safety, etc.) will be the very thing that gets you that sweet gig that you can settle into long-term. Blah blah blah careful out there man. -
Goody for them. Better judgement tells me to just let this go but now my curiosity won't let me so I've got to ask. WTF does you being afraid to use a GPS in the truck because you're an old man at 44 have to do with the topic of this thread? For the life of me, I can't see how one relates to the other in any way shape or form.

Dont go with werner is worst than may,try something different but say werner a no,no.♠

Averaging $350/wk take home, that's after taxes, health insurance, life insurance, $45/wk garnishment. I'm out average 28-30 days and home 4. So figuring all that in average of about 2k paid miles (some weeks more, some less), closer to 2300 actual miles. at 27cpm you come out to $540 a week before deductions.tinytim said: ↑Seriously though, 350 a week and I'm guessing that's a full 7 days. 50 dollars a day. Then we get the bs like I got, a sub 500 mile load that picked up saturday and delivers monday. Stuff like that kills a paycheck.tinytim Thanks this. -

Instead of bashing people, you should've read the entire thread. The only thing I'm AFRAID of is having to be on the road with your kind! You sure are good at putting words in my mouth. I bet you're an EXPERT at starting rumors!
The author (tim87) of this thread clearly asked:
Being a rookie and depending on a GPS (instead of an atlas) will cause him problems; probably sooner than later.
You obviously know it all. So, I'm sure your way is the best way jgremlin! Very fitting name you have there!
tim87 - I'm SORRY for messing up your thread. I'll stop being childish now and refrain from replying to any further comments.Click to expand...Click to expand...
