Nice first post. I'd definitely like to hear the other side of this story, as this is one sided.

I have none of the issues of which you speak of. I have an awesome DM who gets me home when I want/need to. I feel I make a decent buck. And creature comforts?!? LOL Are you kidding? Cause, ya know that's why I went into the trucking industry. :biggrin_25521:

The final rule prohibits commercial drivers from using a hand-held mobile telephone while operating a commercial truck or bus. Drivers who violate the restriction will face federal civil penalties of up to $2,750 for each offense and disqualification from operating a commercial motor vehicle for multiple offenses. Additionally, states will suspend a driver’s commercial driver’s license (CDL) after two or more serious traffic violations. Commercial truck and bus companies that allow their drivers to use hand-held cell phones while driving will face a maximum penalty of $11,000. Approximately four million commercial drivers would be affected by this final rule.”

The law states, No hand held cell phone means no holding a phone to your ear to talk. You MAY use a bluetooth. As far as company policies that is a different story.

Once again. The O/P was not asking about federal and state laws. The question was regarding Swift's policy. That's the question I answered.

Yeah. We can call women "bags of estrogen" but we can't say "smart arse." Go figure.
