I do appreciate the help. But I also know from experience on the dispatch side, there can be lots of factors involved. I also know, I am not the easiest to communcate with. Probably good thing my truck and trailer is paid off.

I did get loaded out of Indy today but took shipper 4 hours to load which made it so I couldn't get unloaded same day in Columbus,Oh. But they are going to give me $75 detention for it..
I'm surpised to see how few loads on the board even in the good areas like chicago. I think there is only 4 loads for all of LA.

Make them yourself out of pipe by hammering down one end to fit in the stakes or a steel supply place, they will cut some channel steel down to size for you but it will be over a 100 bucks going that route as you have to buy the whole 20 foot pc.

I think there has been 2 loads where I have needed them. If you go down to houston most loads coming out of there require them. Other then that it is few and far between. But if you do decide to go get some 4 will do and they should be 4 foot long. Just another thing to take up space..

I'm kinda echoing what others have already said, but don't let anyone push you around. Mercer works FOR YOU, not the other way around.

The other contractor relation guy Eric used to be my coordinator (Unfortunately for me, he got promoted). Very good guy.

I've been with Mercer for 2 years now. I've only used pipe stakes once.

I don't know how I lived without it.

I did a few runs back to back between Ft. Irwin and Port of San Diego in Dec. 2010. One of the runs, I followed behind an independent guy in a W900 with factory 550hp Acert. We both had 3 Humvees on our decks. I could almost keep up with him going up the big hill south of Hesperia, and my engine is a 435hp MXS.

Also I run through WY on I-80 westbound with 46k lbs of drilling mud recently. I could maintain 48-ish on a pair of big hills between Evanston and Ft. Bridger.

I got the BD in Nov. 2010. Overall fuel mileage in 2010 was 5.62mpg. For 2011, I averaged 6.51mpg without any change in driving habit.

Guys with Acert engines seem to get very positive results from BD, while those with earlier engines (6NZ, 7NZs, MBN) seem to have mixed results.
