Well if you like being told what to do then why don't you move to a country that already does this idiotic crap. Instead of jumping on one of the hundreds of planes that leave this country daily these idiots choose to bring the stupidity here.

See here's the problem, no one is claiming that the physical act of holding a piece of plastic to the side of your head is what's supposedly causing accidents. However they know that straight up banning phones will get them thrown out of office so they start with requiring hands free. Then when they molest the stats for "distracted driving" to show it had ZERO affect they'll go for the full ban. Trucks are just an easy target, they choose the path of least resistance. Ban them from the smallest group first and if they're still in office they'll move fwd.

If I was to hold a banana to the side of my head and pretend to make a phone call is the banana the distraction?:biggrin_25526:

I guess its my bad for your misunderstanding......

When I said you'd be fine for using your hands-free device, I meant you wouldn't be ticketed and have to pay a huge citation for breaking the law.

The argument that one is or isn't dangerous to mix phone conversations with driving while using a Bluetooth or not, is irrelevant. Until the day comes where they ban cell phones altogether, which I doubt will ever happen unless they ban talking to yourself or a passenger while you drive, save all your whining and complaining for that day. For now, use your hands-free and abide by the law unless you just insist on not following the law, or any law.

If the effort wasted on complaining and whining was directed towards efforts to actually change things, things could be accomplished. If what you want needs to be easy for you to put in the effort, your doomed to doing nothing of value.

Who says that I do nothing? I'm incorporated under
The foreign business and buy red fuel. Screw USA
Government. Until they change for the better, I'm not changing my ways.

I pick and choose the laws I follow. I don't steal and I don't kill people however I do speed occasionally and I've been known to hold my cell phone while using it.:biggrin_25525:

Yeah well, you know how the saying goes, nothing is illegal until you get caught.....

For me, its cheaper to obey than be an outlaw. I don't like paying fines.
