I noticed it didn't say how many of the accidents included big trucks. I will assume the number is low or the mayor would have used the info to support his ban proposal.
I also think this is only the first of many more of these rush hour ban proposals to come -

They weren't happy when they were FORCED to allow truck traffic to begin with, they lost thousands of revenue dollars illegally collected over the years.
The bridge condition is just a lame excuse to bring that money back IMHO. -
It is always nice to know what roads to avoid unless necessary. Who tries to drive through metros during rush hours? I try to plan skipping them like the plague, else you have to park, or drive the loops!

Not this idiot mayor again, before he was talking about banning ALL truck traffic, now the dumb$#!* has amended it to a rush-hour ban on trucks. When will this moron quit?
