I bought a 2004 Freightliner Centry with 14-l detroit Runs great starts fine when engine is turned off and restarted. If it sits over night it takes long time to start. Runs fine after get started. Thanks:biggrin_2559:

I was told that it is a fuel check valve it keeps the fuel from draining back to the fuel tank

The fuel check valve is not going to fix it. Does it start with either? Sends a srs sensor code to ecm?

I believe I'm having the same problem. The starting difficulty gets worse, eventually it will only start with either. Does this sound familiar ?

Not having starting issues, but do have the SRS issue. It will surge under high idle and accelleration.....anyone else experiencing this?

There's also an inlet check ball on the fuel filter. I've found trash in there letting fuel siphon back to the tank after sitting a while.
