Looks almost tropical in Munster IN this week Emul!
Expecting -25 wind chills in Sioux Falls tonight, lovely. Actually, If you were at the Loves in Sioux Falls yesterday you could have all huddled around the burning Western Star in the parking lot to keep warm. I wonder if Loves does this every night during the cold season?

We lucked out, got our paperwork @ 2330, took 8 hours to get the paperwork together because we watched them pull the trailer out of the door @ 1530, LOL.
As for the drink, I am aware that according to DOT a person can have a drink during their 10hr break. If they want to do so, then they need to work for a company that will allow it, because Stevens makes it abundantly clear to all drivers that it is against company policy!! BUT it is against DOT regs to have alcoholic beverages ANYWHERE in the truck itself. And if you have it in your trailer you better have a BOL for it. -

Ok guys thanks for the response. Looks like 3weeks school and then the road time training 8 or 9 weeks. How soon are you able to enter the Alliance program if one was so inclined to do so?
-
After the 8-9 weeks of training, you become a member of the 'Grad fleet', which is a 90 day 'trial' period. Typically you can join Alliance 60 days into the 'Grad' program if your miles are good. When you go on the 'Grad' fleet you will be asked if you would like to run 'pre-Alliance' which will give you a 'feel' for how you will run on Alliance.wamajama Thanks this.

hey guys, I am all set for training in dallas for this monday the 23rd...I have been driving class B trucks since the CDL was born...My question is this.. the changing of states sounds a little confusing... In NJ all I have to take is the combination part of the permit test.... I'm expecting it to be the same in Texas...can anyone confirm this for me...I am sure there are plenty of class B drivers going for their A License .....

made it across some what calm wyoming today... gusts to 40 is all. But that dang rule of 70 hours in 8 days is biting me in the ability to run. Only have 8 hours for tomorrow. I won't make this load to Monroe MI in time. Shucks... someone is going to have to come get it to cross the border on friday.
Flight, depending on which way you are headed, I may just catch you, then again who knows. -
