Oh please. Solar flare? That's the best you can come with? Should we all make ourselves hats out of tin foil too?CondoCruiser Thanks this.

$350/week IS insulting. Especially when you consider the sacrifices you make being out on the road for weeks at a time, not to mention road expenses, which you did touch on. The money you are presently making is about what you could make in a lot of non-driving occupations (warehouse or landscaping come to mind) and with those you'd be home every night in your own bed, using your own bath facilities, etc.
That being said, be wary of jumping to Werner as I've seen many a post complaining about pay there as well. My advise would be to stay at May while you research other companies to possibly apply to. -
There's plenty of new trainees out there now driving for .12-.13 a mile. They ain't in the drivers seat fulltime either. $350 a week is insulting, but it's what all these training companies are doing.
Colorato Thanks this. -
And they'll continue to do it as long as they find people stupid enough to accept it .
Look at the trainees running 6000 miles a week . That's over 100 hours just driving . Half of that 50 hours would be $8 an hour but more hours are involved with inspections , loading , unloading etc. . Real sensible to spend thousands at school to earn this much then quit because you can't meet your financial obligations .
Watch the turnover rate increase when the 7 days between restarts rule goes into effect .Logan76 Thanks this. -
7 days between restarts? what's this may I ask?

I get .175 cents a mile
... but I get paid for ALL truck miles, so it comes out to about .34 cents a mile, but I got a good teammate so ...
