Don't go to work for CRE. You would be cuttin your own throat either way. If you try a training school try Prime. They aren't the best of companies either but at least you'll make decent during training but you'll get #### good training so try and stick out your year if you get on with them.
I cant find a job at 21 with a misdemenor a few years ago.

Listen up ma man I think you wouldn't have one problem with hitting up the Oil fields. Though its 20% Driving and the rest is doing work. Halliburton is in need of people bad in Texas. Bakers & Hughes is in need of people badly and are paying relocation. Chesapeake Energy will consider all lvls of Experience in Athens Pennsylvania and there position is a-lot of driving.
If you concentrate on the Oil Fields you will be in like flynn. They are desperate. Also don't be afraid to head over to city-data.com and look under the North Dakota forums there is a Treasure Trove of information to get you going also. Here its under trucking jobs though I supplemented both to get my position with Halliburton.
Never Stop Never Quit and Just Keep applying and interviewing. Though I know if you go there it won't be long. -
So far I have called at least 50 small companies and none of them will touch me. I'm so screwed.

Welp, still nothing. I can't help but be angry at the fact that I am unable to find a job in any other industry, and just get the cold shoulder in this one as well. So the answer to being unable to find a decent job for several years is to become homeless. Oh wait, being homeless is illegal in this country. Guess I'll go support the private prison industry.

Lot of reading, but should give u some valuable insight on what a few have said about the oilfields! -
Most of the hiring is done face to face. You have to go out there. A friend of mine did something like you and called and applied over the phone. He called Nabors whom one of the guys wrote an extensive blog about. They couldn't understand why he wanted to come there from North Carolina. Things changed when he showed up at location in Three Rivers to apply. He woulda got right on, but failed driving quiz which he says was based on general knowledge and tank questions. Him being a trucker since 2002, alot of little stuff he forgot. But he is gonna try to do it again real soon. Lots of oppurtumity out there man!

It may be more than just that misdemeanor harassment charge that's making it hard for you to get hired. -
I do get a bit tired of hearing the comments about if you cant find a job anywhere else why not go to the oil feilds. we have enough bad drivers on the roads up there as it is. there are way more accidents than there should be both 4 wheeler and big rig. that in turn is resulting in more regulation in the area. they have 400 new dot officers in training for the nd oil fields right now. Mostly because of ill resposable drivers.
we need more responsible drivers not drivers 1 year out of prison and just out of cdl mill school.
edit-
to the op this rant isn't necessary directed at youLogan76 Thanks this.
