Had to duckwalk at the Physical, a couple of steps is all. And yes you duckwalk when checking the Kingpin and crossmembers and such lol. Of course you could be like my 1st trainer and not do it.

We're aiming for the Feb. 7th orientation right now. That'll give him time enough to gracefully give notice at his p/t cleaning job, get the permit and prepare to be gone for a while. Also, assuming all goes well, he'll be training during the rest of winter, which will give him experience over wintery roads under guidance, which sounds great to us.

I dont have the tic or anything but I do know that any health issue he has, he might wanna get to his doctor. His doctor can check him out and if ok, the doc can give him a letter also. I do that and I know other people that do it as well. Th emain thing to remember is if he gets a letter is to keep it with him at all times....

Maybe I'll see him at prime!! I'm waiting to hear back if I'm gonna get accepted or not. There in process of getting in contact with my employer to verify I work there etc.. If I get accepted I'll prob go early-mid feb

Here's a question, prompted by something I read elsewhere on this site.
Why is freight OUT of Florida so hard to get? Does Florida have no goods to be transported over state lines (except oranges)? It's not that remote of a state, no more so than Southern CA, but I never read anything like "OMG, you live in San Diego, you'll never get hometime!" -
Florida doesn't have much in the way of exports. Oranges, OJ and some flowers. JCW went into FL a couple of times during training, and they got DH out 1 in 4 times.

Florida.
They take, and take, but do they GIVE?
Noooo.

(Thanks, Dragon. I had thought it must have more to offer export-wise than citrus and flowers.) -
Another company I know of placed my name on the "permanently disqualified from driving a commercial vehicle" list for a motorcycle accident I had more than 35 years ago and from which there have been no recurring or residual affects. In spite of the fact that I had a career as an airline pilot and worked for the FAA for 27 years, they said I "could" have a seizure. It's not true, but it was their decision. Whether your husband can get a DOT medical on his own or whether Prime will do anything with that or not is up to Prime. I would prepare for disappointment, just in case.123456 Thanks this.

Husband got the time/date info back from BMV to take his CDL A permit test: Feb 2nd. That bumps back the date we were gonna pick for orientation by a week, but that's cool. Even better is that we don't have to hoof it to Augusta to take the test; they are scheduling it at a nearby church. Nifty.
Baby steps forward.
