I run by that scale at 495/95 quite a few times when they are open, most of the time when someone in front of me does the same. But ive also seen DOT in the curve if u decide to blow by and stay on 95. Needless to say i go in most of the time now since i seen that:biggrin_25519:

If you ever do go into the 495 scale it feels like your going down the drain the way that thing loops around and around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there cameras before the scale and other places near the scale. I'm sure they record but I've never received any notification due to the number of times that I've....

LOL! Few years ago during DOT blitzkrieg week, they had all trucks pulling into a reststop via one of them portable construction signs...

I pull in along with everyone... jump out of the truck like I own the place and strut right to the public restroom. I do my business, a few other drivers were in there and they were saying to each other... "Well, time to face the music". Inspections were happening outside.

I strut back to my truck, again... Like I own the place. Get in start it up, and take off... nobody said a thing.

Went in that scale as a newbie first time around the loop. Declared " This is one of the more stupid things I will ever see". Never been back in.

what's so bad about AZ? they're just as lax as WY. show em your insurance on be on your way.

you've got to have pretty bad shape trucks to get inspected in AZ.

I have been inspected twice this year in AZ. Both times, they were less about the truck and more about trying to find illegal drugs and log books. One of the called each truck stop to verify my times on the logs. Then proceeded to measure my bed and brought a dog in to find something. My truck is in tip-top shape. Its not the truck Im worried about.
