greatwide ripoff!

Thats the scary part..

 

Carriers and shippers have to agree on what rate tariff they are going to use when they put together contracts. If they are going to us say PC Miler version 23 practical miles then that is what is put into the contracts. When a carrier decides to try to change to actual miles for driver pay, they first have to review all of their contracts and then try to get their shippers to agree to a new tariff. That is why many carriers don't even try. If you have contracts with 300 shippers it takes a long time to get them to agree or wait until their current contracts expire. That is how it works.

 

I used to work for Greatwide - wouldn't now. GreatWide sucks..... you lost Tyson contract because the idiot were hiding trailers/tearing them up/stealing wheels and tires off of them....now KLLM runs that bit on a trial basis. Also they are in the process of losing Walmart... how do you F up Walmart? But them I see the trucks and drivers with their pants around their buttcracks and I think..... "yup, there it is"

 

I agree with you on all of it except the part about them losing walmart... They just (atleast they are telling poeple) signed a 5 year for Texas and Oklahoma.. I wish it was different nothing would please me more than to see the TM at Terrell get ran out on a rail..

 

Could be, just what I've heard and given the fact that reputation precedes most people and entities, I find it very possible.

 

Yeah.. they screwed up tyson lost all the southeast wal marts to swift.. and now they say they have got Texas Oklahoma and Clarksville... but I wouldn't doubt if they aren't lying.. they have about everything else..

 

Greatwide now has a page on Facebook. They are not liking my comments. Someone is actually answering.
