Wow, I stopped by Arctic the other day to go over a few things before I signed on withthem again. I walked in the office and it was empty, I mean John Durhst and another guy dispatching and all the phones and computers are all disconnected in the main office where operations USE TO BE.. All the lights were out except a couple near the corner where the 2 dispatchers were... Jay is in a little office in the back and the whole place is a ghost town, there were about 35 trucks sitting in the yard, most of them are all wrecked or tore apart. I would bet they are out of business within the next year if not sooner. Im thinking they are just staying open until they pay the rest of the lawsuit off. They went from about 60 office workers to about 4. It was sad to see but oh well, John Dursht is still his same old misersble self. Jay seemed kinda bummed out and embarassed..... I wouldnt sign on now, Id be afraid of not getting paid and Im betting their safety record is bad as many trucks that they have tore up all over the lot. They also lost their trailer lot and garage that was on fischer road. They will be gone soon. Im not trashing them but its the sad truth............

Arctic is still doing the "escrow account and drivers are still having a hard time getting money refunded....Upper management who are all family members leave a lot to be desired...husband returned truck to yard on trip out of Alabama going to Chicago and they charged him for being out of route miles to the tune of over 300.00 dollars. needless to say he is no longer with the company.. He always had trouble getting "road money" and getting things fixed when he was over the road...He was an employee not a lease driver

They did go under a few years ago. Junked equip. was the source for repair parts and they only had about 50 trucks on the road. I got paid every week but miles weren't very good. Haven't seen any of their trucks out on the road, maybe I'll swing by their facility to see what's up.

Bwall, you dont know what your talking about. They never went under (YET), they have junked a few trucks and yes they were sued. They are running at about 30% of what they did when they were on top. They do have a yard full of tore up trucks. I think they are trying to get the lawsuit paid off then maybe close up or start fresh. I know when I was in the office a few months ago it wasnt looking good but they are stll up and running. I wouldnt even think about driving for them after seeing how bad they are doing. I really liked that company for the 2 years I was there. Maybe theyll get it together after the lawsuit...........

I am scheduled for orientation with Arctic Express Tuesday March 5. Just wondering if any current drivers like the company. Also do they have EZ-Pass and Pre-pass in their trucks?

In 2001, I remember getting a message on Qualcom telling drivers not to allow repo of the trucks even when law enforcement was present. I refused to go back out upon returning back to the yard after reading that message. Please think twice about driving for them.

Com On! Why in this world are you defending them. You were right in your original posting. Nonetheless, your writing greatly improved since your original posting. Man, it's like someone else wrote this posting.

Ok well it is new year 2015 and I have been with arctic since oct. 2014... first let me say they no longer have the 07 volvos only o/o have them. Second the miles have dropped kinda bad, when you first start out they will run u to texas a couple times then u will b one of the lucky ones to see it again. I've been told from past drivers that they never kept up with their equipment and I must say I've seen it for myself. I brought trailer to shop cause couldn't slide tandems and they realized that the cross members were broken. I got told by Denver to take load anyway and don't get caught by dot and after they would put trailer out of service. Needless to say I made it there safe. I don't really have anything bad to say bout company except I wish it were more miles I was getting. You can't bite the hand that feeds you, either you leave or stay and suck it up. Making this short I hope everybody finds someone who will make them happy. Every company is different and u might have to go threw a couple to find one that's right for you but it will all work out eventually. And questions about company and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge and truthfully but what I might think is a good thing might not b the same for everyone else.

Their website now says they're putting new KW's online. Have the miles increased? Has the maintenance improved? I'm pretty sure I don't want to try to avoid the DOT because my trailer is broken...
