M C W in Parsons, TN used to do the wraps on your truck. Nice stainless work. Not sure if they are still operating but a call might do the trick. They are straight south of the North Forty TruckStop Holladay, TN in a little town called Parsons, TN. I haven't been running down their way in quite a while so I don't get to stop in and see if they are still in biz or not. Good folks.

Never thought of that but it sounds interesting. What about releative movement between the tank and the outer SS layer? Dissimilar metal corrison could become a factor some where down the road. Just saying. Not trying to punch holes in your idea. Lord knows it would be easier to have nice looking tanks instead of polishing all the time. A little stronger againist rocks and road debris too. Yeah I think everyone would love to see pic's of that project.

If you do this you will want to put some kind of corrosion prevantative on the tank before you put the skin on. Even then moisture and debris will get between the tank and the skin causing your tank to pit. Eventually you will have to put new tanks on.

My pete has these. It appears they coated the tanks with some sort of sealer then layered in plastic first. I'd have to take a closer look.
