    Me and a buddy are looking to team up and wondering what our best options are being in the Tampa area. Im approaching my 5th year and my buddy has about 9 months. Our company is doing away with team operations so we must venture out.

    Both accident and ticket free.

    Find the guys running produce out to the coast out of Winter Haven, Auburndale, Haines City. There's Severt in Jacksonville, I believe a company called C&C somewhere out of Winter Haven, Twiss in Largo, Tuff Transport in Winter Haven just to name a few.

    Look into expedited companies,if you can get pre approved by a few of them your changes are pretty good.Most of expedited companies are all O/O but they do hire contract drivers on a 1099 contract.Panther,Fedex Custom Critical and Express-1 are your top expedited companies.Only this is you got to find a fleet owner who willing to take a team from Florida and you will be out at lease 4 weeks or more.Not much coming out of Florida.

    another option, there are companies in florida that haul flowers that require a team.

    Indian river is loooking for teams, think ur buddy would need a year but idk I forgot what the pay split is they sent the msg today and I deleted it but its easy work.

    Yes they take teams also and provide training as well.

    Big Armin and Cornbinder are right! Your best bet out of FLA is the flower carriers. Not to mention you will make the most money. You get paid per mile and per stop and can sometimes have over 50 stops! You usually deliver to flower shops all over the country and some "box" stores. The nice thing also is that you are only usually out 5-7 days. You go out, make your deliveries and when you are empty you grab a load back home. Come home, either take a day or two off, or run a shuttle run or go back out. We ran our truck on a three man team. Out 5 days, off two, out 5 days, off 5. During our off time we could run local shuttle runs if we wanted for extra $$$.

    I ran for Stansell which is out of biz now but did the same exact thing as Armellini. Prime also does floral out of FL and a few others like Peninsula, Honey etc...
