You read that right. If this term applies to you, it might be time to start submitting applications to other companies.
I just found out about this "new" policy today. Maybe it's been around a while and I just haven't been paying attention. Yes, it even happens to me on occasion. Nobody's perfect.
Anyway, if you are a company driver and you bring your truck in for repairs, it had better be clean on the inside. No grimy floors, grease covered seats, ashes all over the floor, coffee splattered everywhere, food boxes and particles and no hidden "treasures" (piss bottles) Drivers are being written up and, if severe enough, fired for the interior of the truck being a pig sty.
If you are a piggy in a Swift truck, it's time to take out the trash and sweep the floor. Yes, it is part of your job. Swift is getting tired of fumigating for fleas, ####roaches, bedbugs, ants, mice and anything else you can think of. They are getting serious about this. Clean it up before the shop has to get it....or find another job.

Maybe ill get a truck next week thanks to the pigs...

You can usually spot them before even entering truck, dashboard is trashed. DOT officer told me once he pulls the cluttered dashboard guys around more, usually a sign of a person who won't keep up with permits/paperwork.

Wow!
I just took some home time, and I put my shop in the truck for some repairs.
Oh, wait, other way 'round. (truck, in shop...)
Hope I'm not that bass ackards in my truck.
I do have some ashes about, and some bit of dust and dirt where my feet usually push around the pedals. Maybe a few crumbs here and there...
Oh ya, the pee bottle.
Think I'll be OK? -
More companies need to start doing that as well.
For the record, yes my truck has some dust on the dash. But floor is swept clean. ashtray not over flowing. gets dumped and clean on a regular basis.
Inside windows clean.
Used to hate it when I worked in a trk. shop and opened the passanger door and trash would be falling out of that side.
Had one trk. that was a team trk. cabover.
I climbed in to pull it into the shop. Got sick. had to run in and lose breakfast.
People ran team with a dog and the dog was not house broke. Need I explain more.
Yep they lost their job. -
