Newbe from So-Calif

    Hello Everyone

    Stephen here, 50yr old single father of 3 children.
    2 daughters 26 & 22 and my Son 16

    Well I was in the Automotive aftermarket sales industry for 30yrs, to say the least since the USA economy has been in the crapper for a while now. Jobs arnt what they use to be.

    I have been un-employed for about a year now.

    Since I was a kids I always had a think for 18 wheelers, I remember making my dad drive me to the local truck stops to look at all the trcks and hang out.

    So at the fine old age of 50, looks like I am gonna live out my dream, going to trucking school to get my CDL.

    Any pros or cons?

    Your imput will be greatly appreciated

    definitely do your research and take everything you hear with a grain of salt. you can be successful if you put in the effort. Some truckers are disenchanted because they have zero motivation... Good luck. There is always a trucking job out there if you are willing to run.
