    The TS-530S was rescued from the trash can and given to me for free. It was in really bad shape, inside and out. I had one of the top Kenwood hybrid gurus totally rebuild it for me. It is basically totally new now. Each circuit board was tested and any out of spec parts were replaced. He repainted the case and found a mint front panel for it too. I have pictures of all this if anyone is interested.

    Guess I would allow that only after you put Insurance on it.... Sorry had to go there with your callsign....

    Speaking of callsigns.... When I was licensed... I almost got a bad call

    KC5HKV was my callsign.... If it would have been 2 letters before.... I do not think I would not have even gotten on air back then.

    I would be interested in seeing... I love rebuilds. Even though not a technical rebuild... I have one C class that was redone. I will start a forum on so.

    Had 2 Thunderbolts at one time. The hard one to find is the 6&2 Thunderbolt.

    I may be wrong... but I think the 6&2 was the vhf/uhf amp. I have/was always looking for the HF Thunderbolt.
