Does Landstar have suppliers you can go thru. That's the company I'm considering if i go back Flatbed. I'm in the research Phase now and looking to them as first choice.

I bought my headache rack and all my binders, straps, and the like at Tarpstop in Gary, IN. I got my chains thru the company I leased too for cheaper and the tarps I got from ZamZow in St. Louis, MO

All together I spent about $4,500 and here is what i got:

    12- 3/8x20' chains
    6- ratchet binders
    6- recoil-less binders
    10- 4" straps
    12- 2" straps and ratchets
    6- T-hooks
    1- 16x24' american material tarp
    1- 16x28' american material tarp
    1- Sturdy-Lite enclosed headache rack
    1- Pro-Tec 18x24 step box
    1- Pro-tec 24x24 side box
    100 bungies
    4- 5/16" chains
    3- portable 4" winchs
    20 plastic edge protectors
    10 metal/rubber coated edge protectors
    4 axle straps

They do, but you have to be with them for 6 months before you can use their suppliers and financing. But I know fortycal said you can go to the guy in Granite City and he gives a discount for Landstar drivers I think...

I called them about that EXACT box and they quoted me $3,800 installed. It is a 4 month build time as of right now.

Yeah i think I'll put my order in once i get final approval at landstar and the truck ready to go. If landstar is non forced why do they require Hazmat endorsement?

Sergei is a good friend of mine. He is a Canadian based driver and has some good insight into their workings.

As for the Hazmat, they require it because they can. No real reason for it but I do think it somehow helps their CSA by having Hazmat drivers leased to them...so I've heard.
