i'm single and i live with my parents (i'm 25, with about 20k college debt and 10k of cc), it be a honor not to be home every 3 weeks. matter of fact i'll be mad if they send me home. plus i like driving, i have a motor cycle and at random times, i drive somewhere far and come back for no reason.

EDIT: so heres my list of importance
    1. APU
    2. CPM
    3. 3000 miles per week (hoping)

I made it very clear to my DM when I upgrade my truck (which should be soon) I want an apu. Sure inverters are fine, as long as you don't need more than 300w because that's all they let us have. And the electrical system in my truck is messed up so my inverter undervolts constantly.

To not have to worry about getting hassled idling my truck, not have to mess with an inverter, be able to watch tv on a break and not have it turn off every time the opti idle starts the truck, to have a microwave and be able to use my ps3...I'd be in the lap of luxury. I've been on a reset all day, does it show?

I use a C-PAP and my truck doesn't have an APU. I'm able to run it off straight battery power for 6-7hrs as well as my fridge without draining it. I don't use a heated humidifier with my C-PAP and it draws a maximum of 150 watts when on but not connected to my mask. The watt draw varies between 70 and 100 when I am breathing with it so when you are using it the power consumption is actually lower than when its running in standby mode. Additionally my truck has a low voltage cutoff which will shut down accesory power if the voltage drops below 12. 4 batteries with a 950 CCA capacity each holds a lot of reserve juice.

    Of course it's bs, lol.

And no way should apu's be standard equipment on trucks. If you don't need one, why pay an extra 10 grand for the truck?

You don't need air conditioners or heaters either, but they have become standard equipment over the years. Power seats, windows, and locks, air ride adjustable seats, radios, tilt adjustable steering wheels, carpeting .... etc etc etc.
