microBlue Front wheel bearings

Google MAHA dynamometers, my truck had 6% drivetrain loss on their dyno. There's also Dyno Dynamics or something like that in Australia who does roll down tests for heavy trucks. For cars there are many.

 

Temp guns are GREAT!... And if I get almost 1 mpg increase with MB Bearings then its worth the cost .... HOWEVER I can use Amsoil and Motorkote to get the same results !! PS I poured Amsoil in rear ends in the early 80's and got almost 1 mpg gain.... way less work for same results!!!!!

 

What weight are you running in your rear end?

 

In the 80s we were going from conventional gear oil to Synthetic that we all gained 1 mpg with that change back then....duh!

Now we are taking it one step furhter by improving on synthetic lubricants by prepping and coating the parts permanently to gain even more from it.

If you use synthetic lubricants you don't need additives like Motorkote.

 

once you get say a year or two on these microblue bearings will it wear though the micro and start flakeing or is the microblue clean though the bearing just asking im all for saveing some fuel

 

After 100 or so thousand miles, I am sure you can easily expect to see some wear on the coating if not having it completely gone. That is about the time you would start to see ANY return on investment on doing a complete treatment on the axles of the truck. Now if you were running around bobtail all the time then maybe you might get longer life out of them but then you would not be making any money.

I'm hoping it will last buy it is really a very thin layer of coating.

 

ok thats kinda what i thought so if the stuff would start to wear and flake it would tear up the bearing just seams like to much weight for this thin coating

 

My truck was the first truck to get MicroBlue Wheel Bearings on June 29th, 2011. My fuel mileage average for June before MicroBlue was ever on my truck was 8.15 mpg. Currently 9.17 mpg average for January that should be worse than summer months with rears, tranny and wheel bearings all MicroBlued. Add 1 full mpg due to winter weather and winter fuel blend to compare with summer months mpg.

You decide?

Also, Microblue paid to have my rear ends pulled after a little over 14,000 miles back in August to check for wear and everything was still good with no signs of wear. If you went to Charlotte Diesel Super Show, they had them on display for all to see and then the back rear end went into one of Kevin Rutherford's trucks during October that is a single drive axle 2 axle truck and increased it's fuel mileage over a 1/2 mpg better.

I've seen you posting a lot of work done to your truck but have you calculated into this what you could have been making when your truck was down getting this all done? How has that affected your year end numbers?
