A word for the wise... don't sit on your wallet. A doc told me that you wouldn't believe the number of guys whose pain issues go away when they slip their wallet out instead of sitting on it. Said it had to do with the way it tipped your pelvis...moosc and CondoCruiser Thank this.

back in my younger days i use to tip my pelvis every night, heck twice on Sunday.. neva had an issue with pain then.. felt pretty good to be honest. and i slept like a baby afterwards.. now that i think of it, maybe a lack of pelvis tippin is the root cause of the issue.
American-Trucker Thanks this. -

Smart ###!!!
And that ain't tippin, that's rockin! -
rockin? who said anything about a boat? and if we're not talkin about a boat, then that could only leave one more thing, and i didn't get into the large cars until a few years ago.. not to say i have a thing for the big uns... but they sure know how to treat a man after he puts in his miles. a back rub and a sandwich.. (there's always food near by when you're rollin with a big un.) good times, good times.

...just had an excellent sandwich no big uns around.
If you have the butt squeeze bottom seat cushion put some air in it, takes pressure off your syatic nerve. A buddy who screwed his back years ago told me this when i was driving a western star, only seat I absolutely had to do this with, now I choose to in a kenworth just not every day -
That's newby pain. You'll get use to it over time. Then in about 15 years you'll be walking all bent over. Many truckers have back problems later in life. The human body ain't meant to be bouncing around 10 hours a day sitting in a seat.
Play around with seat adjustments. You want your feet to be able to sit flat on the ground with the pressure off the back of your legs. That'll help keep the circulation from being reduced and help you maintain better posture. Avoid being a wheel hugger.
Take you a break every 3 hours. Maybe a little more frequent as a new driver until you build up your endurance. There's always aspirin and Ibuprofen.
Like Hammer says, don't sit on your wallet. Added cushions might help you.
Last resort, they always sell Monkey Butt in the truck stops!

That's why they came out with the "trucker's wallet's" year's ago. Remember, the chain on the wallet would let you take your wallet out from your rear pocket and let it hang out and when you got out of the truck, you couldn't forget it due to the chain.Wrangler65 Thanks this.

You learn somthing everyday. I thought it was to prevent a pick pocketer from robbing rich truckers when they came out. Ain't gave it much thought though. Boy was I wrong! They ain't rich, lol.Hammer166 and Diesel Dave Thank this.
