also is this the best truck for what we do

Depends on engine type. Mechanical or electronic ? New or old ? Flat land or hills ?
-
its a 2004 and its a cat pretty flat in the prairies
-
why would you use such a big truck? a one ton would pull it just fine, be better on fuel costs and allot less to maintain.

And that is geared way too short for the highway, unless it's got tall rubber on it.

i want a truck with a real sleeper im not interested in a 1 ton what type of ratio should i be looking for
thanks -
Depends on tire size... 3.73 with LP24.5 was like 1650 at 70, or thereabouts. Eaton's website has calculators that's would give you exact numbers. With as little weight as your pulling, you wouldn't want to run that rpm, and if it's only got LP22.5 on it, it would be seriously short geared.

thank u i appreciate the help i would buy something smaller but i think it is easier to find a driver with a real bunk

I don't think someone with that low of a gear ratio would use it for flat lands?
