I was wonder if I could get more information about running dedicated out of here. What are the negatives? Positives? I had the the chance to run a load out of there at the end of my mentorship. Seems like people were kept rolling. Thanks

Not sure on these but have you looked into the Heavy Haul Division that Swift has it runs Canada, Wa, ID, and OR

I only have been solo for a short time. I'd rather wait untill I have at min. 18 months under my belt before hauling more than 80000 lbs. I'm slowly finding out how stress filled it is to drive in big cities where I don't know my way around very well. Being from Coeur d'Alene, I want to look into the Walmart dedicated. Now maybe it isn't for me. But just maybe... it is.

I run out of there. Almost every load rolls out of the yard at between 78K and very close to 80K. Typically, it's luck of the draw to get on there. You have to pretty much impress them.
If you run out of Grandview, you will be throwing iron and rolling in snow. You cannot have a fairweather truck if you run from Grandview. You will run loads on a variable schedule. Even I have run a few night time meat and produce loads. If you have hours available, you are expected to use them.
All of that said. If there is something you need to be home for, unless the planner is irritated with you, getting you there is not a problem. You would get a load to Post Falls or Hayden and drop the trailer at the store before bobtailing home. You will never be more than 12 hours away from home.
Just keep in mind, being the new guy, you won't get to pick which loads you want to do. You get what you get. That might mean loads over Snoqualmie three days in a row.
