I have a prehire for Roehl. They are a good company. I have friends that haul for them and they like it.

You can go with Commercial Carrier Corporation. They mostly run daycabs, so you'll be home every night unless you break down or get stranded or something. If that happens, they'll pay you breakdown pay or layover pay (its the same for both) and they have contracts with hotels in all major FL cities.

They run beer and dry bulk cement products. Get on the dry bulk if you can. If you go beer, chances are you won't be here long. Dealing with Anheuser Busch (Imbev) requires an inordinate amount of patience, and the pay is really low - as low as Roehl starting out. You didn't go through school to make 28,000 to 30,000 per year, right?

They have Macks, on account of it's a work truck company. The daycabs are governed to 57. The sleepers run 64. It's a big ### company so there are dedicated accounts and wierd leftover lanes from the 80s and such, so you can find a niche to make enough money to live.

They pay 100 dollars a month up to 5000 dollars on truck driving school, so that's pretty cool. Beats the 100 dollars every 9000 miles that Roehl does, considering the amount of miles you are likely to get first starting out. Aside from the fact that Roehl takes out taxes so it becomes like 92 dollars or something. Check them out.

Why can't he go flatbed right out of school? Swift, TMC, Western Exp, Roehl, and many others will have him throwing straps and chains right out of school.
