I have never understood the "nosing in" way of parking. I sorta thought some do it like injun said, so as not to be bothered or window to window with another truck. Other than that I just dont get it. Actually, I have been trying to think of a "I dont get it " post for another thread. Gonna move on over there and see if this "nosing in" debate can really get kickin' !

I think alot of people like the privacy. Dont have to worry about peoples lights shining in your cab, or parking next to a noisy reefer.

I just hate being stared at and bugged by people who think that because I'm lounging in my driver seat that I want to be engaged in a two hour conversation. So I nose in where they can't see me and where I have plenty of room to back out. I like to look at things other than the backside of my sunscreen.

My first week of driving I was in a t/s in jersey thay I could back in no problem now....but that night no way. This guy comes around me and backs his pretty red kw in first shot. I hop out and offer him 10 to do the same for me. He looks down at me and in a southern drawl says...boy why y you gonna pay someone to back in your truck? I said isn't it obvious? He hops in the passenger seat and teaches me a half dozen little tricks ti get that truck in there. I still use them now.

Good on ya for forcing him to do it and helping him learn. Bet he feels better about backing now and not too terrified to at least try.
