Today we went out heading East. One thing I've found out in my life is that I don't care what nationality you are or race, creed or color if you get several guys together and one guy is driving the other guys are going to start talking. Normally the conversation will be about fishing, lust, or fornication. We could be in the middle of getting our ##### chewed out for running over a curb and a lady drive by wearing a short dress and all of a sudden all is right with the world. We really are pigs.Tomorrow were going to be driving at night. There's no doubt we'll be taking a lot of right hand turns.

Sorry I missed you today, catch you next time. -
Sorry I missed you too. I only had a few minutes before I had to get down the road. I'm sure we'll run into each other somewhere.

I've heard we've all got trainers and some of the guys have talked to theirs but so far I haven't talked to anyone. If I don't hear anything by Friday I'll talk to Greg. -
Up Date, Wed. evening we we're out driving after dark. Things sure look different when you cant see everything at night. It was much more mentally exhausting trying to pay attention to all that's going on around you. All in all we did ok. Could have been better but I think that will come with experience. We did get to meet Mr.David Millis along with Dave Brown and David Grass. Mr. Millis talked to us about safety. As all of you know, safety is the biggest thing here along with getting the load delivered on time. If your not safe the load wont get delivered.
I have always lived my life as an open book. I've never done anything I've been ashamed of (in my adult life) and have always treated people the way I want to be treated so I'm going to fill you in on just how my day went today.
It started out pretty much normal with each of us taking turns to drive. When it was my turn I got behind the wheel and the first thing I did while pulling onto the road, I looked both ways then started to pull out. I was in a hurry and while pulling into the second lane so my tailor wouldn't hit the curb I pulled in front of another trucker. I put everyone in danger with this stupid move. No need to even tell you what Greg said. If the other truck hadn't had enough room to move over and get around me things would have gotten ugly fast. It was totally my fault. I missed judged my surrounding area. Tomorrow we're going back out and try things again. If I do tomorrow what I did today I wont be working with Millis. And I wont blame anyone but myself. I'm letting you know this just because I would like to also say how important it is not to be in a hurry and always always always look twice before pulling onto the road. I've always thought of myself as a safe person when it comes to driving but it doesn't take but one second to change the lives of people. I cant tell you how bad I feel about this but I will get over it. I dodged a bullet this time. Stay safe.biker dave Thanks this. -
hang in there.....you'll be ok

I'm happy to say today went a whole lot better then yesterday. First thing this morning Greg hooked us up to a tailor with a full load of paper. I took my turn first and other then touching the gears on the lower side of the transmission a couple of times coming to a stop I did real well. I'd be lying to you if I said I wasn't nerves. I'll just take yesterday and chalk it up to a valuable lesson that money cant buy. Orientation starts next monday- Wednesday. After I take care of a few things I'll be ready to start driving with my trainer. Looking forward to that.
We did get to meet Bear today. Too bad we didn't have a chance to talk much. Hopefully next time. Drive safe. -
It was a pleasure meeting you guys as well. Be safe out there and enjoy the ride!
Old - School Thanks this. -
