I thought I better post this here since this forum was where I told others I would post results if I tested this product.
Sorry to inform all that I am declining to test the EcoTaz. Here is copy of E-Mail I sent to Ben with EcoTaz:
I am sorry to let all you guys down that posted here and everybody that PMed me wanting me to test this product, but please understand that I feel it is total waste of time to evaluate this product further. I have been around the trucking industry and the racing industry all my life that I have seen alot of products like this come and go with alot people convinced that got better fuel mileage if the sales pitch is strong enough.
Thank you everybody and I feel honored alot of you value my opinion.

Thanks, Dice.
Are you the same Dice that tested the hydrogen generator several years ago? I recall discussing your results on the Getloaded forum.
Just what I suspected. This is nothing more than the Turbo 3000D with a new name.Dice1 Thanks this. -
Yes and you are right

Having read some of your numbers and modifications in other threads, your post really should hold a lot of weight for those on the fence.
Coming from a background in the sciences, it was always painful reading posts with user bias, multiple modifications in driving stlye andd equipment made at once, changes in variables over the duration of the "test", statistically insufficient datasets, and most of all, the lack of an independent blind study with a sufficiently large test and control population in more or less identical equipment.
I have a few years in fuel research, but I'm by no means a professional. I'd read over the literature for the ecotaz and turbo3000D, and neither seemed more credible than torroids on a fuel line to me.
In all those years, the only credible bolt on fuel saver i'd seen make real world gains across the board was a 2X4 under the accelerator pedal. I wouldn't try getting that by a DOT officer, though.Dice1 Thanks this. -
Yeah it looks like a turbo3000. So what... Until you test the unit you have zero credibility. Did Ben offer you a free unit Dice? Mine was free. What could you possibly have to lose? I do tabulate every fill up. I did see improvement. How much exactly, as a percentage? I dont know. Too many factors, irregular routes and loads, to name a couple. Some guys haven't seen improvement. Big deal. They've lost 30 minutes of time installing/uninstalling.. Send it back to Ben and get your refund. I agree Ben gets a little over the top pushing sales, but so what. I still think it is unfair for someone who has no idea what they are talking about with a product they've never used to diss it calling it a turbo 3000. And I am a skeptical guy myself about these things. Truth be told, if it hadn't been given to me, I never would have bought one.
Mr. PlumCrazy, BigBadBill, losttrucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Dice you have turned this into a popularity contest, and I will concede to you, due to the fact that as a trucker yourself and I as a salesman have no way of winning a popularity contest against you. Of coarse al the nayseyrs are going to back you immediately as well.
I never came on here to win such an event. I offered several Professional O/O's the chance to test and say what their results were. The question asked was "Does It Work"? They have tested and in there own way have responded. Their response comes from their own trial of the product itself. Many others bought and still are using the product to this day due to the fact it is putting money in their pockets. How many others including Turbo have come on here and asked for Volunteers to test their products and respond for Free?
The definiton of Prejudice can be looked up on wikipedia. It states that the definition of prejudice is making an assumption of someone or something that you have no knowledge of. A preconceived opinion not based on reason or experience.
So yes you can wear the Popularity Contest Crown, but I will continue in helping those that want extra profit in their pockets to do so without them losing a dime. It is not rocket science.

I would really like to see this or any product aimed at improving things work.
I am biased in that I want to believe.
I also believe that I am pragmatic.
Let the facts speak for them selves.
I have seen Ecotaz and Dice both singing the praises of products.
Both have been attacked and both have responded that it is stupid to attack something when you don't understand .Both product have been attacked as just a re hashed old product that did not live up to the sales hype. Both have responded that their product was different.
I do believe Dice's product works , but there is no guarantee from the supplier.
Some important issues are still in question.
I am on the fence with Ecotaz , it does however come with a 100% guarantee .
Virtually zero risk.
Dice rescinding on an agreement to test the unit is disappointing.
I'm not sure of the reasons , I know what Dice posted but I suspect there is more to it.
Disappointed indeed.BigBadBill and dairyman Thank this. -
Prejudice should not be misconstrued with healthy skepticism.KW Parts Guy, Hammer166 and Dice1 Thank this.

I'll preface this with saying that there is no proof that Eco-Taz is engaged in the following...
The 100% guarantee is an age old gimmick. The marketers are betting that a large percentage of customers won't ask for a refund because they don't want to bother with jumping through all the required hoops and the dollar amount is too small.
Eco-Taz may be a worthy product. But I'm skeptical.Dice1 Thanks this.
