Is working with flatbed harder than a regular trailer?

I had a prehire from a flatbed company... It was good money... But the responsibilities were a bit intimidating for a newb such as me. Maybe in a few years....

For now, I'll haul produce and ice cream.

Personally I don't think I could have handled flatbedding as a rookie-rookie. There's a lot more to go horribly wrong pulling a trailer with no walls. I don't have much interest in it, but if I did I'd suggest 6 months of box pulling to straighten out your driving before moving on to more advanced load hauling.

 

Flatbed is more work but it is rewarding. I went fb right outta school with a flatbed only company that trains its guys really well on both the driving aspect and the securement/tarping part of it too.
