its alllll the military uses...they have been pretty reliable for us. Biggest drawback is its abilities in an automatic vs stick, that and the new slowwer soldier's couldnt figure out how to shift..lol

LOL, I drove an auto for a half a day as a loner to go and P/U a load while my tractor was in the shop. Man, what a joke. The worst is trying to back the #### thing, what a pain in the ###. I know with practice it'll get better, but it looks like you have absolutely no clutch control trying to back that POS.

Your problems with detention, are being caused by something. Detention is automatic and based on your QC macros. Your DBL doesn't control that. They can "fix" it though.

Detention works like this, you start getting it after your second hour at the customer... Arrival Macro-- time at customer --- Departure Macro.

Don't get the bright idea of getting to the customer 4 hours early, then spending 3 hours unloading. Thinking you're going to get 5 hours detention. It won't happen.

There are instances that you will need to contact your DBL concerning detention.

Case in point -- I arrived at the customer at 20:00 as dispatched. Sent my arrival...then was promptly put out of the gate, until the next morning.

Overnight, I was taken off the load. Then given another at the same customer. This demands a new arrival Macro. Which resets the clock to ZERO.

When I finally had a load (at another customer). I had spent 20 hours at the original customer. I was sent to the new customer for another load, and another new "Arrival Macro".

Due to "arrivals" cancelling each other out. I had ZERO detention time.

Everything was converted to "lay over" pay by DBL. Which sucked really. Because they went the cheapest way out of the situation.

Bottom Line: Stay on top of everything. Get a notebook to compliment your Pumpkin pad. Document everything, with times in and out. Load numbers. And miles....which are listed in the dispatch information....in multiple locations. Once in the P/U info. Deadhead is in the "equip disp" if you have one.

I've only had to call payroll a couple of times over the past year.

My problems with my Det. Pay was I was not aware of what the scale was. I misheard, misremembered, believed a flat out lie. Who knows. I now know the hrs/scale. Got another det situation. recycled commodity. As such it is loose in the trailer. took them 3 hrs to load. Which as 2 hrs AFTER i checked in with them. A very nice lady named Mary sent me a message directing me to put A/D times from the shipper on that BOL. SO I get paid for it. AT least its something on a 27 mile day!Q!@!@!
