I dont want to be responsible for running over a mini van, nor do i want to run a rig off a cliff due to trying to make a couple extra bucks that would have been waiting for me the next day.
I think my biggest barrier currently is not being able to physically show up at the places I want to work. the whole apply on line thing is annoying, and I understand that folks arent exactly stoked on hiring over the phone.
ATM Im trying to convey the fact that if there is a chance that they want to hire me, Ill hop on a bus to meet face to face. Im pretty driven, and want to get into this whole off road trucking scene, if I cant wheel in my off time might as well be doing it for a living haha -
i applied on line to one company and while i was driving down to the "Promised Land", they called me, said they would bus me in and train me etc., i was grateful they called, but had already mentally prepared and committed myself to the patches at my expense, and while thumpin through Nashville I turned down OTR.

How is texas treating you so far? -
real good , this is home now., - you won't need much , just until you get rollin, figure on a little over a week until everything is said and done, than another 2 or 3 weeks until payday... i couldn't have wished for a better situation.
