Will someone please take a 3000D and cut it apart to show him the piece of pipe he bought.

Just a question BigJuice61..............with the billions of dollars spent each year on R&D by all the truck/engine MFG's why is it you think this magical device isn't already on each truck made if it truly works? Honestly, I'm not being a smart ###. If by installing a piece of pipe on the fuel line of each engine would give say Cummins an obvious fuel mileage advantage over the other brands, you don't think they would have already done it?:biggrin_25524:

    jfaulk 99,

someone already has cut one in half , nothing inside but some tab like thing, basically a brass tube.

slowing down got the mileage for him, i just made a run 1017 miles from milwaukee to albany, ga got 6.5 , up from my normal 5.2 , difference i drove with the cruise set at 60 for the entire trip.

it is sort of funny that all these fuel saver things only work when you slow down, dont have headwinds, dont run winter blend fuel, dont run in mountains, dont run heavy, etc etc. The same things that normally save fuel by some chance without a piece of pipe.

if the things worked they work no matter the circumstance or speed, if ya get 4.0 running 75 , you should get 4.1 or 4.2 if thispiece of pipe worked.

i watched a mythbuster episode where they tested agodawful amount of fuel saver devices , NONE worked and some actually lessened mileage.

there test was done with a measured amount of fuel , distance etc etc.

and why would it take 25,000 miles for a 3000d to work??? maybe its out of replace ment time by then???

If this was true then every company would install APUs.

The "if it was true then everyone would use it" reasoning is flawed.

Not that I think this thing works.

Hey, how can you question someone that is a "Certified Master Contractor"?

And guess what. For thousands of dollars he will let you come to KS to learn from a select group of people that have paid him to present and teach you how to become a CMC.

But because I am a good guy I am going to teach you all how you can do it for free.

Just start calling yourself a "Certified Master Contractor". That is what Kevin did. Just made it up. Hell, I'm an "Ultimate Master Contractor with Distinction".

i actually went up with my fuel mileage not by doing 60, but by using my new device the heli-boot.

whats a heli-boot you ask, it is a boot filled with helium gas, it is a boot with a gas holding outside shell, you fill it with a small helium bottle the size of a small fire extinguisher. the more pressure the more fuel you save.

the boot lifts your foot off the pedal like a helium ballon floats, more pressure, more lift , more fuel saved.

these babies are only 199.00 w/helium bottle included. thats right foot only. the left boot included for 100.00 extra.

with both boots you fill em , and float up off the ground 7 feet to tarp those high loads without ladders.

    and coming soon

i dont think thats a fair comparison...apu's cost a bit more.......

If a truck manufacturer or even a company could gain a few tenths of mpg for a few hundred with an esy install in fuel line you can bet they would be all over it to either give them the advantage over the other companies until the rest catch on, or as a company to save $$ with a small investment.
