1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

O.K. for all of you guys (and gals) that are delivering or have delivered RV's in the past.

Since it is often said by some that there is no money to be made in this business and all you do is wear out your truck.

How many of you would be interested if a transport company existed that would put you in a new truck (automatic) and paid you a mileage rate just to drive.

No truck or trailer payments on your part, no fuel bill or repairs, no truck insurance, everything except food is covered, truck would have a DOT legal sleeper.

No risk on your end, you would have to have a clean (at least reasonably clean) MVR, Class A CDL, be clean cut and interested in a long term, full time position.

I am just working on the assumption that over the years there have been some good drivers that have either had bad luck, break downs, or companies that have not paid them and they have been forced to get out of the industry thru no real fault of their own.

Just looking for some input here, Thanks for you time.

    Sincerely,

    Stan Imboden

O.K. guys, sorry about that but I just got back from filing in for one of my drivers.

Where to start, first, I don't want to mislead anyone here, I am NOT talking about a pickup truck. There is #### little money to be made hauling singles.

Certainly not enough to buy a truck, pay all of the expenses, AND pay a driver. There used to be some money to be made, but with new trucks at 50+ and fuel where it is at there is a LOT of risk and a small window for suscess.

What I am talking about is a medium duty truck with a legal sleeper that would have about an 18' deck and then a 45' trailer. Think of a stinger steer car hauler BUT with only three axles, lite weight, easy to maneuver, with about 63' deck space.

Now if some of you are still interested I'll go into some detail.

    Thanks Stan
