best 10 meter converted cb

My mistake, I thought it was in reference to the MARS/CAP mod as far as any idiot doing it I'm not sure.There are many hams/CB'ers now days who can not make a simple 1/2 λ dipole.

 

I've noticed that. No English or math skills either. What are the property taxes given to schools really being used for? I see more bad mods and butcher jobs, likely thanks to the web with a million pages of do it yourself bad mods being done by people who cannot be trusted with a potato gun. Come to think of it same goes for most of the authors of these mods. I gave up doing write ups on radio gear when I started seeing copies of my articles in over 50 languages where not a one indicated credit to the author, i.e. me. I think it was the day I saw my 2950 article on a Brazilian Ham page with credit to a S.A. call sign, and a similar page in Cyrillic with an Eastern E.U. call listed as the author that I finally decided I would rather keep my ideas to myself.

Now if I could only figure out how I went from commenting on your reply to rambling on about the lack of respect anywhere today. Oh yeah I remember. I was thinking about what you said and remembering how us old timers built from the ground up some pretty amazing things. Sort of like how mags like P.E. used to have projects to build that made me wait impatiently for each issue to see what I could build next. Or the projects in my 1958 ARRL handbook. I have not bought any publications like P.E. since the early 80's seeing as how now they are not much more involved than hooking LED's to a battery.

 

Is any thing legal? just get one you will never look back.
