If I could get the Volunteers and the Guys that paid for the units to Drive 57 mph and lighter loads we could probably see 11's

Not accurate compared to actual fuel used versues odometer mileage. ECM will be off most of the time on most trucks.

Anybody serious about fuel mileage would never depend on the truck computer. Hard to beat odometer miles divided by gallons of fuel used.

I would like to know how many actually use the ECM to get fuel mileage and if they ever check it against the actual miles divided by fuel used?

The fleet mangers use the gallons used to miles driven also, but for cpmparing apples to apples the look mainly at idle times and average speed on the ecm just to compliment the test.
Dice you should know that you can skew any test of any product when before and after by idling less or longer or by speeding up or slowing down, When I asked for this report is when you rejected to test. That is OK if you do not want to show all your cards it is no problem. No one is twisting your arms to test.

Please save the Professional Sales Pitch of 11 mpg......

Several have stated they got such poor mileage in the 6-1/2 mpg range running 60 to 65 mph or you can even go to 70 mph (that I will give you). Let's see them drop from 70 mph to 57 mph using EcoTaz to increase their fuel mileage over a 30 day period from 6.5 mpg to 11 mpg with a couple years of results posted in my.gauges.com not using skewed truck ECM numbers and using real numbers instead?

Most of my runs are dedicated where half the run is fully loaded at 79K and the return load is around 55K gross weight that even some of my wild runs are 12' wide oversize with some needing over weight permits also. If you look at my records during this month I moved a concrete plant that needed permits that is in my January average. If I pulled the wild runs and went the dedicate only my average would be even higher than the 9.18 mpg I am getting this month even with winter blend fuel and winter weather. Can't wait till summer.

Your sales pitching is getting a little far fetched now.

I wonder if he got the ECM printouts off of all EcoTaz user's trucks to verify the fuel mileage, speed ran and idle time to compare with the before EcoTaz numbers???

Talking about one of the EcoTaz prime testers skewing numbers admitting to slowing down with the EcoTaz to the 60-62 mph range to only get 6.9 mpg with a 3K lighter load than the one he compared to at a the 67+ mph. Looks like this one has already slowed down and still in the 6 mpg range. Long ways to get to 11 mpg with this one.

You are right Ben, the numbers can get skewed by slowing down and just think he was bragging about his IFTA numbers were so much better with EcoTaz than before. I quess he left the part out that he slowed down from 67+ mph to 60-62 mph.

And Ben could not wait to brag about his numbers....

I wonder if he verified the speeds and fuel mileage with an ECM printout in the past to the ones compared after the EcoTaz add on with full ECM printouts?

If my truck goes below 8 mpg, it is going in the shop to find out why.

So this Opinion was worth one EcoTaz. Bully Dog did not even have to give him a unit to get one of those.

The figures you quote will be questioned by some.
I know they are just general and used to illustrate a point.
There is just one major flaw in the reasoning.
Lets say only 40% of energy that is released during the combustion is used to propel the truck.
That the combustion process is only releasing 90% of the energy contained in the fuel.
You are now saying that if it were possible to squeeze the remaining 10% energy out of the fuel in the combustion process then this could only possibly convert @ 40% of a 10% increase.
Thus only 4% is ultimately possible.
The flaw in this reasoning is that it is incorrectly amused that the losses
like wind, friction, noise , heat etc will also increase proportionally to increase in burn efficiency.
The truth being that if it was possible to squeeze an extra 10% of energy out of the fuel and the losses like wind resistance , noise etc stayed constant.
The increase could potently be a 10% increase in total energy contained in the fuel now being used to propel the truck.
Where it was stated that only 40% of the extracted energy was converted to propelling the truck.
    This could now be 50%.
This is a potential 25% increase in fuel mileage not 4%.

This is the same reasoning that people miss when saying it is impossible to get gains claimed for coated bearings etc.
The less efficient an engine the easier it is to get % gains in fuel mileage.
The efficiency gains are not claimed buy the establish losses (60%) they are added to the propulsion of the truck.

Having read the whining by these two "little girls" about their products it does seem like they're both more interested in their respective "fan clubs" than anything else.

Ecotaz (stupid name) is the same snake oil as the Turbo3000 and works just as well.

The MicroBlue probably has some merit and looks interesting....But I'm not gonna tear my truck apart to replace parts that aren't broken just to find out.
I'm not gonna drive down the road at 57-60 MPH to find out either.

You both need to "grow up" and realize that when you are hawking a product whether it's a good product or a bad product, There are gonna be competitors that will come around and tell everyone that your product is not good and that you are fudging your numbers and so on....

The merits of something like the MicroBlue treatment are fairly obvious and the claims are logical based on the fact that when you reduce friction the machine is automatically more efficient.

The idea of installing a little metal tube with some goofy baffling inside on a fuel line and suddenly getting better mileage is a little less credible to say the least....Turbo3000 and Ecotaz are essentially the same thing and we all know how well Turbo3000 worked!

It is interesting to note though....There are still people out here that are buying the Turbo3000 and claiming that they're getting better fuel mileage with it!

    I guess P.T.Barnum was right.

EVERYONE wants to get better fuel mileage! If a fuel saving product manufacturer or marketer wants to make millions while sitting on the back of their yacht in the Los Suenos marina in Costa Rica with the local hootchy koochy girls in bikinis feeding him grapes, than all they have to do is have a proper certified test done that verifies the validity and results of their product claims.

Or, another way is to tell a lie enough times and eventually people will believe it.

The companies that spend a fortune on marketing the lies do it for a reason.
