to be totally honest i'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. The environment would seem to be about right for people that may be unstable. Long periods of time by yourself, minimal direct contact from supervisors or co-workers, long hours, little rest.

It's always been in the back of my mind that this could happen at any time. Maybe it's about time that companies start to realize those aren't just trucks out there, there are people driving them. Hopefully this issue resolves itself without a loss of life?

All he did was make sure the shop gets new equipment on the back of the insurance and that he gets quality time in a jail cell for many years...No one thing at work should piss you off to that point and if you didn't leave after something that "lead up to this" then it's all on you...Especially in regard to a dispatcher when there are plenty of people to go to over their head...Stupid is as stupid does.......

Hey-My first thought is maybe this has nothing to do with Schneider or trucking in general.Definitely more than a bad day for this guy.To me it sounds like mis-directed anger.Whatever the underlying reasons are i hope they are tretated effectively. No doubt he's in prison for awhile.Take care.Brian

Report on FOX 2 NEWS from the site of the incident is that it was a STOLEN TANKER , and nothing confirms he was an employee of SNI or of any trucking company for that matter.

    Report says.... flatbed. I dunno.

Maybe we should wait for the dust to settle.

I know some guys here are fairly "disgruntled". The majority seem to be squared away though.
