    1)Schneider, 2)Celadon, 3)Paschall Truck Lines (PTL), 4)Landspan, and 5) Crete?

These are the companies my soon to be codriver and I have whittled our list down to ...well this week anyway:biggrin_25519:. I don't have them listed in any particular hierarchy of importance to us, I just typed the names of those companies we're serious about...We'd like to know how you would rate/rank them and why? All opinions are appreciated.

    Thanks for your input.

Of all you listed I would say crete. PTL has went down hill lately and celadon is OK from what I hear. They do run a lot of east coast. I use to see them up there a lot. Snidey is OK if you need training and want to get your foot in the door, but most move on with more exp. I know nothing about landspan. Good luck!

Thanks much. But...why do you say Paschall has gone down hill lately? They do business in our area and a couple of their drivers seem to be pretty respectful of the company and didn't seem to have many serious complaints. What have you heard?...Crete is our #1 choice though. I keep reading more and more negatives about Celadon on this forum and it's spooking me. Along with many others here it's starting to make my head swim trying to make a decision on a company when it seems you read as many negatives as you do positives. I tend to stay loyal and not jump around so trying to find one I'll be happy with for the long haul is becoming a daunting task. :biggrin_25521:

Several years ago when I would talk to PTL drivers they were happy. Most now a days say their miles have been cut bad. There is some on here that left them not long ago on account of that.

After looking at the fact that you want to run teams you might consider ( I know I am going to take a public flogging for this) USX and run 48. They seem to cater to husband/wife teams. If you are teaming and you just said your co driver so I don't know if this is a spouse or not. They have a lot of compalints on solo's, but teams seem to do well with them. Good luck!

Thanks again :biggrin_255:. As for my future codriver, he's actually my ex-husband....and yeah go ahead and have a free chuckle on that one. We get along better than the last 2 "relationships" I've had and I think we'll run great. Now as far as US Xpress is concerned, He doesn't like that graduated cpm they have for shorter loads so that's a big negative in his book. Is he wrong about that?

Your welcome. I have heard a lot of negative stuff on USX, but it is the solo drivers that have given me negative feed on them. They are the ones complaining about the short runs. The teams I have talked to have told me they run the fire out of them. I can't laugh at you. My handle is notarps and I pull a flatbed!:biggrin_25523:

If you consider running 750-900 Fed-Ex runs team running go for it, they have not changed since 2007. No coast to coast they put it all on rail.:biggrin_25513:
