Thats the problem with this forum....it's too #### addictive. There is good stuff, funny stuff, nasty stuff, and sometimes just stuff, but a good read anyway.

You what I think it is... we used to be able to get what we get here hanging around other drivers. But nowadays so many of 'em are so anxious to stack up the BS, you can't hardly have a decent conversation in the TS, or hanging around waiting to get loaded/unloaded. Yeah, we always had the guys who were full of it, but now it's an epidemic!
Dang, I'm starting to sound like a crotchety ol' #######, ain't I?
Wargames Thanks this. -
ugh, getting too touchy feely here, I threw up in my mouth a little.
Need sarcasm now.

Hey Digger, it's alright to show a little feeling. Shoot, I even cried once while i was reading some stuff on here...
...'cause I spilled my last beer!

The good thing about this forum is there are many drivers that actually try to help. When someone posts erroneous information then others are quick to refute the info and in some cases will show where the correct info can be found through using links to regs.
While I do not officially train drivers in person anymore this site allows me to share the knowledge and experience I have accumulated over the years. In some cases I have even learned some things and found out I was wrong on a few occassions as well. A humbling experience but worthwhile.
So to the posters that go out of their way to assist and help the new guys (and some older hands) I take my hat off and say THANK YOU ALL.

ya know i was once NEW at this... I didnt know and the Old guys gave me Crap over it but i took my lumps and pressed on.. i listened..i watched and i learned.. some were outlaws and some were local but i listened and never disrespected anyone... im not a super trucker as some newbie may think or say.. do you realize i never see the same thing twice when i drive no matter where its at... i know its hard for the New driver to get respect but like us vets out here you earn the respect of your fellow drivers..some of them come off half ####ed and think they are better than the rest and no matter what you tell them they wont listen... they have to REALIZE one THING... We are all Equal and part of a Brotherhood that most people have no idea about... From the Rock Haulers to Bullracks...LTL to Long Haul were all the same we just specialize in something different.. but one thing we all are... WE ARE TRUCKERS AND PROUD OF WHAT WE DO.. The Road Warrior..

Excellent post RoadWarrior!

Even though it's an excellent post, I think gravdigr will soon blow big chunks!
Wargames and TheRoadWarrior Thank this. -
You don't even have to be a driver to enjoy this forum. I wanted to drive, but didn't have what it takes. I'm doing the next best thing, I work in the dispatch office of a national carrier with a dedicated account. I love coming here to read and interact with y'all.
Wargames Thanks this. -
many forget that they too once hauled there first load.
i have never forgot that first trip from sav to baltimore with double stack roll roofing, no training at all, fresh out the army, needed a job, uncle showed me how to work a log book, lied to get a job( 2 year reference was from another uncle in ala.) , got hired and been doing it ever since. seems like 1979 was forever ago.Wargames Thanks this.
