I hear the werner trucks are governed at 62 mph its going to be a slow ride not that i mind as i am just starting out so i wouldn't want to go much faster anyway. We will see what happens i am really excited to just get on the road and get some miles under my belt.

hey dewey it doesnt matter what ur governed all that matters is how u drive it dont be scared of it respect it and you will be fine when i first started out my truck wasn't castrated my first load was 113,000lb gross (permitted for 100,000lb gross we move trash here in new england) before that my exierence was limited to moving a truck from here to there around the yard. i was nervous but the owner guided me through it he told me just feel the truck it will tell you what she likes and what she doesnt like....and sure enough almost a year later im still here at the same company just different truck pulling heavy though the muddy landfills going up and down the back road hills in maine to navigating downtown boston in the day so far the heaviest i've hauled was 78,560 in the trailer alone which works out to be right around 122,000lbs i had no issue going 70-75mph with that you just have to plan farther out a head

I remember back when werner trucks were governed at 65. 5 or 6 of the runs I normally made in a day turned into 2 day trips, but dispatchers took about 2 months to get the idea. It seemd like every load I picked up, I had to send in message after message changing the appointment time.

They seem to get the idea now, and I'm up to 13hrs average wiggle room on a load. I'm so used to keeping the door closed that I either end up showing up a day early, or hitting the snooze button for an hour or two.

Its nice being on the anheuser busch account in the winter, though. We have to idle the truck below freezing under a load of beer to keep the bottles and cans from bursting. Dispatcher still calls to ##### about it, even though I haven't been out of the 90th percentile in MPG in over a year.

The climacab A/C hasn't worked more than 5 minutes since I picked it up, but I'm not planning on sticking around another summer anyway.
