Height of truckers

A typical tractor is well over 7 foot wide. If you want to check one out, look for a standard twin size mattress. That's what is used in the majority of sleeper bunks, unless you are in a truck with a narrower bunk. A twin bed is about 42" wide, and full length.

im 6'7" tall, in school and on the road they call me "hightower"
. because in school i asked a short dude how he saw over the steering wheel, with a phone book mabe? he asked how i fit in there... i told him i rip out the seats and sit in the sleeper


my advice? aviod the freight shakers

i got an International 9400i, and my international has more leg room then i know what to do with. in teh freightliner columbia and century that i had wih my trainers and for testing here at roehl... i did my VC every 3 hours cuz thats right about the time me legs would go numb.

midroofs will accomadate you nicely as far as the bunk goes.

 

A typical Freightliner Columbia can easily sleep a 6' 6" man with no problems at all. I'm 6' and have room to sleep with my arms above my head.

Head room is good all around. Even in the mid-roofs.

The only 2 trucks I know that might cramp you a bit, a Volvo, or a Peterbuilt.

Im 6'5" and can agree about the Volvo,You would not like it for sure no leg room at all.I also drove a T-2000 at one time that was just as bad the 387 Pete would also be the same because the share the same cab.
As far as the other KW's and Petes there is a ton of room.All you have to do is unbolt the seat from the slide and move the seat to the last set of holes.Thats what I did in my Pete and it will give you tons of room,it puts the seat right over the cab and sleeper divider.
As far as Frieghtliners go it depends on the seat you have some yhou can slide on the rails and some you can't.
I have a Classic Xl now and have more room then I know what to do with.But I also put a Bostrim Low Rider seat in and moved the whole seat back 3" on the floor.
As far as sleepers go you won't have any probs there they have enough room for a tall person.
