Yep, he used me as his little helper. He even said a million times the only reason he trains is for the extra money and help unloading. My final day on his truck I called my training coord. And told her all about my so called training.
I don't know why they gave me a hvp load, and it is only a total of 50 miles from where I'm sitting to the shipper and then to the receiver.
I'm abit confused...

Amazing how you can read other people having issues with USX too!!!!!

Hey Renegade well am taking your advise and trying to get another company to pick me up in an entry level position before my due date with USX. I can see now why you're pissed 30 hours and counting to get a load ummm not good. I mean I understand the life and all and large companies like USX will have this type of bs but you'd think they'd strive to for better.

oops got to learn to read the posting better responded to a much earlier post thinking it was up todate oh well

Sometimes sitting for 30 hours is a good thing, and other times sitting for 30 hours can be bad thing too. Example: You end up sitting those 30 hours and then you get a call that they need you to go pick up a load. You are 4 hours short of doing a 34 hour reset, so you go to get the load, and you are told you are early and you end up waiting 6 hours to be loaded or the shipper is not even open for another 12 hours. You have just been burned by dispatch for your 34 hour reset.

Sorry for all the noobish questions, but I have another one....can I travel about 10 miles to get to a truck stop without pissing them off? I'm in sunrise fl and I can't find no truck parkings that I can sit overnight, mostly
Likely I'm going to be sitting. -
There is no reason what so ever that you cannot do that. I have drove to the closest Walmart and did a 10 hour reset there and stocked up on supplies too. It might be an issue if you had to drive 50 miles or more to get there unless you had no choice to do that.

Yep, nobody's day would be complete without the obligatory complaint from HD... -
Just trying to be honest and do my part brother!!!

You can always head to the nearest truck stop. Our personal rule of thumb is if is more than 30 miles or so and we have multiple choices, i ask my fm which way she would like me to head (assuming i do not have a preplan yet) so are not going the wrong way. If it is 50 or more miles you need to get permission and they should send a route solution so they will be paid miles
