Maybe companies are doing things differently now, be we carried what we called an accident kit in the glove compartment. It contained all the information a person needed in case of an accident. Something to give people in case they needed that info, other people involved, law inforcement, medical personal etc.

I also recieved a company handbook of rules & regs of the company and who to contact for any concievable problem on the road. If you recieved the same sort of material at orientation that info should be in there somewhere.

If you have "lawyered up", DO NOT attempt to contact
Knight for any reason, without your lawyers knowledge.
They have a tendency to try to get you to admit to things
that might hurt your case. In this case, your employer
    IS NOT your friend.

    formertaxidriver Thanks this.

Wrong! I hurt my back in2002. I was off work for 6 months. After dealing with their doctors, I exercised my rights, obtained my attorney, had my surgery done, did physical therapy and was back to work 6 months later. Still here and making good money. I was also paid the entire time I was off. Brought home almost $2000.00 a month during that time. Having my income cut by 2/3 was not fun but we were still okay in the end.

    Drive safe
