Don't sound like to me he needs to be a trucker, being all sensitive and stuff.

we keep our dogs groomed and bathed reg. and keep a towel in each door pouch to wipe their feet off after going out ...even if on dry ground....keep their eyes cleaned and check bottoms to make sure nothing left behind....we have poodles so they basically dont shed ( 7 # and 13 #) toy poodles....not all of us keep our pets nasty....we have been in the shop and they have a hard time believing we have pets on the truck....just like everything else, some ruin it for all.....

JS Helwig allows pets. Not sure about the deposit.
I'd rather assume a truck that had a pet than a heavy smoker. The pet's odors will go away, the smoke odor that gets embedded in every square inch of vinyl, carpet, plastic, and cloth may never dissipate to an unnoticeable level (for a non-smoker at least) regardless the amount of initial cleaning and scrubbing you do and amount of febreeze, ozium, and smoke-away used.DevilDog79, platinum, Giggles the Original and 1 other person Thank this. -
Smokers should pay a deposit. It took months to get smoke smell out truck. My dog has better hygiene. Took months of cleaning, hours of washing, spraying, vacuuming and replacing both beds.Giggles the Original and SierraSemiDriver Thank this. -
A smokers deposit does no good. You think the carrier's shop is going to use that money and actually clean the truck and rid the truck of smoke odor? You think that money is going to be passed on to the next driver of that truck to use to help offset the cleaning costs and labor, as well as the sinus/allergy related issues associated with living in that truck the first 3 months?
vinsanity Thanks this. -
Your exactly right and that's what I got allegy issues. They need to Ozone this truck for a week.
-
Fine.... but how about you guys who spray around so much "air freshener" rather than bathe or wash your stanky clothes for a week or two that the truck smells like a Beruit whorehouse.
Or the lardbutts who twist the seat frame and stain the seat cushion black in the crotch area cause you need to be wearing depends... plus leave the mattress in an even more disgusting state.... with a permanent sag. And BTW, take your garbage and used condoms with you.
Or the Boom Box crowd who wire their "toys" in all through the cab and sleeper without any idea of how to do the wiring properly and when you leave just yank em out, leaving a whole bunch of broken wires and damaged panels.
Or the "I'm just a driver" morons who never have anything repaired cause gotta make miles..... thus necessitating a week in the shop just to get the truck drivable.
See, your perfect little butt quite likely has habits that will cheese the next driver off. So if you want your "perfect" little world, go buy your own truck and knock yourself out. Bring your whiney "I deserve the best" attitude around folks like me and you'll be going home to Mommy sad and feeling bad.
The New Breed..... AAAAUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!
