Good evening everyone. I have been reading up a little bit the past few weeks on here. This is my first time posting. I am a Vet of 11 years in the Coast Guard. After being out for just over 2 years now and going to school full time for my associates degree in Electronics, I am finding myself more and more missing the underway time, the being gone for weeks on end and home for a very short period. I am single and my kids live with their mom, so makes it kind of easy to stay out longer. Only thing I have is my Harley. And she is a big enough a PITA at times.... I am looking at going to school here in Phoenix and then try to hire on as a student driver, to be a company driver.

Like I said I have been lurking around on here for the past few days as a visitor and have gathered a great deal of information. Too bad you have to weed through all the trolls and off topic post's that have nothing to do with the OP's question. Fun times though. So far once I start applying for companies, I have looked into Crete, Prime and Roehl. I am not sure what I would like to drive. Probably dry van, then flatbed and reefer last. But I am not sure.
