I dont log sleeper if i havent been able to sleep, as I wasn't since the shipper asked me to check back in an hour. Now had he said, "I'll load you in eight hours" then YES, I would've of course logged sleeper and went to bed. So, 'real trucking' is running without sleep? Using stimulants? Faking your log book? I don't need 'babysitting' nor have I worked for a 'big junk' company. I now work for a small, family-owned company that gets me my loads and lets me do my job. And we're on elogs. YOU need to grow a pair. You sound like just another stupid, ignorant Billy Big Rigger

That small family owned company is going to throw your arse right out the door the first time u r at a shipper and get yourself in that situation again and won't put yourself on line 2, and dont deliver the load on time. Small companies don't have the trks to make up for the losses that dumb drivers obtain through not making the best out of their hos. Like I said, you are better off at a big junk carrier babysitting you. And I call b.s., just about every driver has worked for a big junk carrier at some point or other. You are the captain of your own boat tho, drive how u would like, just don't complain when you are not making money.

BURN!! Unfortunately these things do happen in trucking I've had a few jobs in my ten years never with a mega but those situations happen from time to time real trucking.
-
Wow I would have quit the first day when I did not get the shinney new white truck and trailer. How dare they put you in a penske rental! No prepass, are these people from the stone age?
I hope that you got a nice truck at your new job, so you can take a lot fo pictures to show your freinds what a super trucker looks like.mgfg and CondoCruiser Thank this. -
Contrary to what Mr Billy Big Rigger here says, I've been doing quite well where I'm at now, and with nice equipment. And you're full of bs saying that I worked for a big junk carrier- I've NEVER worked for an outfit like swift, knight, jb hunt or any other of those mentioned here

I bet your dm is real happy to have you on his board. Plz plz keep this thread alive Or start a new one when your current carrier throws you out the door for not wanting to work. News flash, if your carrier likes you, you will be driving the best trks that got and not junk. And I bet my check you have worked for a junk carrier that babysits you or you wouldn't have this demeanor. Drivers like you is what cause these carriers to babysit. But I am going to get back to (billy big riggin), you know making a decent wage for the sissy 70hrs I am able to run..
Billy big rigger out. Lol -
Blah blah whatever. My company likes me and respects its drivers and yes I make a decent income. I don't know where you get the 'babysit' idea from. You must be one of those 'outlaws' who don't think that us compliant folks can earn a decent living. I make better money here and drive more than i ever wouldve at Can't Manage S***. You yourself must've worked for a BFI like CMS. News flash for you, Win None-Lose More, morons like you and other outlaws are a dying breed

News flash/ making the best of your hos is not being a outlaw. Also when you say your carrier now likes you it makes laugh at pure ignorance. This is a new gig for you and it takes more than a cpl weeks to get on the good side of any carrier. And how the heII do you know what the new gig is like(your newbie honeymoon isn't over yet, hence u r new to the carrier). Pure ignorance to you for thinking anyone making the best of a sheet sanwich(log book) is a outlaw. Outlaw driving died yrs ago and there are only two trpes of drivers left-1.us normal drivers who make the best out of hos-2. They lazy sacs of crap who don't want to work and use the hos to get out of it. Also I am tired of having to deliver loads for lazy drivers who use the hos rules to get out of work(delivers a load last week for some jackarse who didn't manage his hos and couldn't deliver his load on time(my boss told me this jackarse over logs everything and bumps his 70 on a 2000 mile week(how in the hell do u do that). I repeat the log book is your paycheck so why would u f yourself unless u don't want to work. But on a side note- when this whole (WORKING for a living) don't work out for you there is always WELFARE( you know that things that pays people to sit on there arse and be debts to society.)

Perhaps you didn't read where I said I log very little on line 4. My company does not hire new drivers, so your argument about me being 'new' is as effective as screen doors on a submarine. If I didn't maximize my hours I wouldn't be doing over 3,000 per week, and I haven't run out my 70 (but i've been close). I'm not on a 'honeymoon'- been driving for four years. Furthermore on maximizing hours- I plan my trips to see how far I can get each day with my available hours. Some (and I don't necessarily mean you) consider maximizing their hours by just driving till their clock is up and stopping wherever that may be, whether it be on a ramp or 'dirt pull-off' or whatever. That is another thing CMS tried to tell me to do. But if that method works for some, so be it. I have no need to run that way and I have a decent income and glad to be rid of paper logs

SSD you seem like a responsible driver good for you refusing to run dirty.
SierraSemiDriver Thanks this.
