Im not saying the lease wont work for bigkid2 it worked for my trainer and good friend until he got fired over a minor accident. He did have a lot of money in the bank for the lean times. So I tried the fleece and got hosed learneed my lesson went back to driving company saved up then bought a 97 classic paid cash. The only thing the fleece did for me was it taught me what it takes to operate a truck. All the expenses paperwork etc. Oh and to never ever do it again.

True I might get fired today for all I know. If I do I have made decent money up to this point so life goes on. Yes it may need an overhaul at some point and if it does I just pay to have it done. My monthly bills home bills are about $1500 and I make that in a week on average and lately I have been making a lot more than that. A lot of money is getting stashed away for rainy days.

It's really surprising to me that any dry van company is paying 50 to 70 cents a mile more than anyone else out there on a flat mileage rate. What exactly is their pay scale? Because it is not posted publicly on their website all they say there is "98cpm + surcharge". That makes me think it's in line with what every other company out there offers or it's even sadder. Which is anywhere from $1.20 to a $1.40 a loaded mile with the surcharge included, some pay a surcharge on empty miles and some don't. What is the breakdown, what do they pay on loaded and empty miles, surcharge on both? How much was the surcharge last week? Is it practical miles, hhmg, pcmiler, or what? What were your odometer miles, q'comm paid miles mean nothing, you need to keep up with actual miles driven.

Tell me about it. I have taken home $11,100 in the last 4 weeks after truck payment, fuel, insurance and .07 a mile for my maintenance account is deducted

    11500*1.8=$20,700

    fuel@6mpg-11500/6*3.85avg=$7379

    truck payment-602.16*4=$2408.64

    insurance - guess $238/week*4=$952

    maint .07*11500=$805

    20700-7379-2408.64-952-805=$9155

    where'd I go wrong?

Still waiting on an answer about how you guys get a $1.80 a mile pulling dry van freight in a lease purchase arrangement. And apparently none of you keeps up with your odometer miles either. I used to be guilty of it too. But it's a sloppy way to run a business.

Why don't go for your masters brokers licence and be your own broker and agent and broker out all the frieght that you can't handel as well. I'd'e say do the lease if you wanna be a company slave and broke all the time. Buy a truck though traditional financing you'll be better off and if they get shady then you can move on remember the dispatcher has your nads in there hands
