Anyone else frustrated with their return this year?

No, hubby and I are happy with ours because we got a rather large refund from both federal and state but then again he only started orientation in August and got his own truck to drive on October 13, 2011 so the majority of his income was from his former job as a lowish paid armored car guard.

 

I would be happier if I didn't get anything back.... that would show that I didn't pay too much in and give Uncle Sugar an interest free loan for the year. I make it my goal throughout the year to only pay what is absolutely necessary.

To the original question. NO! I am never happy with my tax return, simply because it shows me how much of the money I EARNED, that the government got to steal from me.

 

I got everything back that I paid in. I didn't get anything extra like EIC or Child Credit or anything like that. I made out like a bandit last year though.
