Not sure who you're talking about but I am sure you're not talking about me. I'd appreciate it if you didn't lump us all into the "we all have some other disgusting habit(s) if we don't smoke" category because there are still a few of us who leave a truck in far better shape than when we were assigned it.

Yes, I've cleaned up after some of the drivers you mention. But that's as much a reflection of the carrier as the driver IMO. All these trucks go through inspections, and if it's ok with the inspector/carrier/shop foreman, then ... I don't know what to tell you.

    bigdipper Thanks this.

If you aren't a pet person then it can really bother you. Same as a smoker, if you don't smoke you can smell a driver smoking in the truck in front of you going down the road.

Let's face it, if your a pig your a pig and a dog or ciggarrette isn't going to change it!

*** Watkins & Shepard allows pets after 90 days and a $500 "fee". (I put it in quotes because I think they call it a deposit. But its not like you'll get it back... so its a fee!)

Pride allows dogs under 25 lbs?(can't remember for sure) but I've seen plenty with bigger. $500 deposit that can be taken out in monthly payments. Think it's like the poster mentioned above though, it's a fee called a deposit like most things these days.

The truck I got was smoked in an it's faded to basically unnoticeable levels over the months. Maybe it wasn't smoked in heavily though, who knows. Not a bad idea to replace the mattress though as they tend to trap odors worse than anything.

Huh, wasn't aware you didn't get it back. Not that I really care though, being that I'm not really a pet person. I'm sure the fee serves more as a discouragement than anything else.

    CRST allows pets.

The non-smoking nazis are real sensitive types. I smoke and I clean the truck all the time.
